That Sinking Feeling....

I've been cursing the boats that have pestered my local canal and middle Avon fishing for the past couple of years, and so, I'd guess, have many, many other anglers up and down the country. Therefore it's really no surprise to me that all that hex throwing should ultimately be answered from time to time by the laying to waste of the aforementioned offending articles...

Dear...

Oh dear...

Oh dear..!

There's a melancholic air about a sunken boat that is hard to describe in pictures and words, but it's true that the atmosphere around the poor forlorn vessel seems fraught with an ineffable sadness. What on earth the absentee owners will feel when they finally turn up to find such a situation on their hands is anyone's guess, but I doubt sadness will enter into it.

Oh dear, oh dear, oh deary, deary, me...

Still, ineffable sadnesses apart, there's no love lost here. That'll teach the buggers to plough straight on through my lines, willy-bleeding-nilly, whilst I'm standing there utterly helpless, todger in hand, taking a leak in the bushes!

Three down...

Inconsiderate bastages they are- thinking the canal is for boats rather than fishermen.

  3. You'll be pleased to hear that two of the three of these unhappy sinkers are now floating again. The black one, coincidentally named the 'Captain Scott', is the only one still sunken and has been for some time. Its on the way to becoming a wreck...
